Note: While activating the console in games until Call of Duty: World at War is rather simply done completely in-game, starting with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the game files have to be altered. Since Call of Duty uses the same base for most of its game engines, many commands remain the same throughout the series. The console can be used for testing and to give information useful to the developers of the game, generally for debugging, hence the term "developer console". The console can be used to significantly alter the game, including but not limited to making the player invincible, obtaining a weapon that would normally be impossible to get, free-flying, changing game rules and more. If you've only been using a couple of classes you can expand your game by using classes that you normally don't which really changes the way your game experience is.Developer console is a tool available on video games, which is usually accessed by pressing the tilde (~) or grave key (`) key (the key may be different for keyboards with different language set-up it is usually the key to the left of 1).
There is a lot more to do in the game to extend your play - you can go for weapons mastery tags, there are a bunch of assignments from the expansion packs to do - and many more assignments if you become a premium member. For PC you will need to make a new Origin account and have to purchase BF4 and if you are premium you'll need to purchase premium again.
Your only option depending on your platform is to make a new account and link it to your existing Origin account. Why would you want to reset your progress when you are only a rank 37? I also do not recommend to do anything to that may result in a punitive reset because you may receive more than a reset and lose access to your account. There is no method to reset your account progress in modern Battlefield games.
